Individual opportunities can create lasting, far-reaching change. This conversation will feature organizations that create opportunities for historically excluded creators, frequently by finding funding for their projects, and how that both changes the creator's life and can also lead to systemic change.

In this industry conversation, we invite filmmakers and industry guests to hear from a panel of innovators who are working on strategies for independently produced films to find success in the post-festival marketplace.

Over the past five years, we have experienced historic labor union strikes, a global pandemic, tons of mergers and acquisitions, and the complete closure of entertainment companies, which have all contributed to the evolving role of agents and managers, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and the impact of technology on talent discovery and promotion. Panelists will exchange insights on how some of these key themes are transforming the way talent is scouted, managed, and marketed. The conversation will also discuss the importance of ethical representation, fair compensation, and empowering talent from underrepresented backgrounds.

As distribution models continue to change and platforms merge, join the Documentary Producers Alliance in a discussion around alternative distribution ideas, how to think of unique audiences, what to prepare before embarking on self-distribution, and what comes after the festival premiere for some of this year's films.

From navigating the industry to honing their craft, this brilliant panel of established editors share practical tips, insightful advice, and firsthand accounts of the challenges, successes, and experiences that have shaped their careers. Panelists, all presenting films in this year’s program, include Christina Sun Kim (New Wave), Kristina Motwani (1-800-On-Her-Own), Nesa Azimi (DRIVER), Siyi Chen (Made In Ethiopia). Moderated by M. How can we balance innovation and quality in a landscape that evolves faster than fashion? Hear from this year’s Tribeca Immersive artists as we celebrate this groundbreaking edition in collaboration with Mercer Labs.

2024 is a historic year of elections - nearly half the total population of Earth will go to the polls, including elections in the US, EU, India, etc. In addition to elections, there is also a number of legislative shifts happening nationally, with abortion and LGBTQ rights on the chopping block in many states. Figuring out what is true and what is not is more important than ever, but fake news and disinformation are everywhere. Nonfiction media is a tool to fill that gap between an individual and the truth. In this conversation, the panelists, who come from a range of different nonfiction mediums to discuss their methods for breaking through.

Level Forward's Storytelling for Social Good workshop is a guided storytelling experience for the future of narrative change, crafted to empower folks from all industries to see themselves as storytellers, and ready you to harness the power of storytelling for social good. 


In this interactive workshop co-created & facilitated by Andrea Ambam (Level Forward) and Dria Brown (Broadway Advocacy Coalition), participants will embark on a high-energy guided journey filled with prompts and provocations that provide practical skills for the storytellers wondering what they can do to use their tools and expertise for maximum social good. Using Tribeca 2024 selections as creative activation, participants will learn and then apply the unique SFSG framework to generate new stories and hone existing ones with the power for impact. Ultimately, Storytelling for Social Good asks us all to consider: What is my responsibility as a culture-maker with the power to shape and tell stories? How can my messaging reshape the status quo? And most importantly, how many untold, liberatory stories emerge when we all commit to storytelling for social good?

This is prompting innovation, sparking change, and benefiting businesses’ bottom lines. Join Easterseals in the Indeed Rising Voices Lounge to hear from an esteemed panel of disabled advocates. We’ll discuss recent learnings that came from a series of focus groups centered around disabled talent within the Entertainment industry. We’ll talk about what an inclusive set experience means, share best practices around accessibility, and give advice on ways any business can work towards a more inclusive workplace culture.
